Erin's gymnastics meet was so fun! I had serious worries (even though I know I am not supposed to) that she would score poorly because she really does struggle with some of her routines. Well, she did great!!! She had a blast!!! Her beam routine got a 9, uneven bars 9.2, floor 8.3 and vault 8.8. We were happy overall I think she was 5th in her age group. Here are the pics!
"Sticking her landing on her handstand on the beam!" YEAH!!!

The Dismount and Salute to the judge!

Can you see the concentration?

Erin, Syndey and Lauren above and Erin with Hannah Heide below. For those of you that will remember Galen and his wife Pam were in our wedding. We almost never see them anymore but here they were at this competition. We had a great time catching up and admiring our girls!

What's New In 2008:
Collin was in his first Spelling Bee. He made it through Round 1 but got tripped up in Round 2, hey with a whole school of kids and parents looking at me, I'd have messed up the "a" in calendar too!

Beacon's Gymnastics 2008 team is getting ready for their first competition: 1/19-1/20/08

(down-up, left-right) Taylor, Reagan, Rachel, Hannah, Taya, Lauren, Syndey, Victoria, Erin and Emma. Meet results to follow!
Enjoy a beautiful KS sunrise!
Happy New Year!
Welcome to our very first post of 2008. I've sat down to do this a time or two, but I knew I wanted to switch blogs, so I have been procrastinating. We spent Christmas in PA with family there and headed back to KS over the New Year's Holiday, arriving home to a cold frosty KS! Be ready for lots of pictures because Chris got me a new camera for Christmas!!! Very fun. (since I am a self proclaimed photoaholic! See the lovely bird in the tree & then see how far away it was!
